The Patriot Guard Riders are invited to Stand in Honor for 1SG Paul Maxwell Amrine (Ret), US Army WWII and Vietnam Veteran for his burial service at 1:00PM on Friday, June 13th, 2025 at Pikes Peak National Cemetery, 10545 Drennan Road, Colorado Springs CO 80925.
Paul was from Ohio and served in the US Army for 30 years. He was a Veteran of WWII and Vietnam, and even spent time as a body guard for the king of Ethiopia. His decorations include Bronze Star Medal; Vietnam Cross of Gallantry w/Palm; Army Commendation Medal w/3 Oak Leaf Clusters; Army Good Conduct Medal (9 Awards); World War II Victory Medal; Army of Occupation Medal; Vietnam Campaign Medal and Vietnam Service Medal with appropriate devices; Engineer Badge; 2 Overseas Bars. After moving to Colorado, Paul became a realtor and eventually retired from real estate at age 87. He died in 2021 at 93 years old.
