The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to Stand in Honor for Duane Patrick Crampton, US Navy, for his interment service on Friday, 17-May, 11:00AM at Pikes Peak National Cemetery, 10545 Drennan Rd., Colorado Springs, CO.
Mr. Crampton served in the Navy from 1958 to 1963, predominantly on the USS Enterprise. He was on the Enterprise during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was 85 years old at the time of his passing. He was diagnosed with mesothelioma in December and passed last week. Since he left the Navy, he predominantly worked as a mechanic in various organizations, finally retiring as a foreman on a farm in eastern Oregon.
Mr. Crampton was also a member of the Patriot Guard Riders in Las Cruces, NM in prior years.
