Giving Tuesday is a global movement meant to counteract the spirit of consumerism over the holidays with a day dedicated to giving. Giving Tuesday is done on the first Tuesday following the traditional “Black Friday” shopping spree. This year it’s on December 1st. You’ll often see the #GivingTuesday hashtag used in conjunction with the campaigns.
The PGR #GivingTuesday Campaign This Giving Tuesday, we’ve asked members and visitors to help us achieve our goal to raise $10,000 (or more) in one day for the support of our mission. We’ve added a new function this year, that allows you to pick either a Tribute donation (dedicated to either honor a living person, or memorialize one who has passed), or simply donate to the PGR with no tribute.
