While the 2021 Run for the Wall has been canceled again this year due to the covid virus, there is a ‘Remember our Fallen’ ride going on in its place. In past years the Colorado PGR has stood a flag line along the route for the RFTW, and we will do the same this year for the Remember our Fallen ride. The Remember our Fallen Ride, like RFTW, will start in California and end in Washington DC, passing through Colorado Springs on Saturday, May 22nd.
Also, as in the past, for those who would like to join us, we will meet up at Frankie’s Bar and Grill, 945 N Powers Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80915 for lunch prior to departing to our roadside Flag line Location. Currently there are no covid restrictions in El Paso County, but that also is subject to change based on conditions at the time. Please be respectful of any requirements Frankie’s may have during this event.
Times are subject to change so please remain flexible and check back to this posting for updates.
11:45 – 1:00 – Lunch at Frankie's
1:00 – 1:10 – Briefing
1:15 – 1:20 – Depart (possibly in smaller groups depending on turnout) to Flag Line Location
1:30 – 1:40 – Set up Flag Line and wait for the motorcycle procession.
The Current plan, based on the ride’s route, is for us to set a Flag line on the side of Marksheffel Blvd., just north of Bradley Blvd, where there is an extra wide shoulder. If there are any changes to the route between now and the 22nd, this location may also be adjusted and updates posted.
Flags will be provided.
It will be an honor to attend this mission and to honor our fallen.
