I am very sorry to report that we just lost another Colorado PGR member. Don Kammerzell recently died of the Coronavirus. He had been very careful and attended very few missions since March, 2020 because he was caring for his elderly father and did not want to risk getting the virus and passing it on to his dad.
Don was a Veterinarian and was known as "Cow Doc".
I spoke with Don's wife, this morning. She and her son are devastated. Don died on November 30, 2021, on his 60th birthday. As I mentioned, he was trying as much as possible to avoid contact with others in order to protect his father. As it turns out, he passed the Coronavirus on to his dad, but, his dad survived. Don battled the virus for about two weeks before he passed. There will be a celebration of life for him, in January, and our members will be invited. I was told that the time he spent with his PGR brothers and sisters, in support of our mission, was very special to him. When I posted my Thanksgiving message, I indicated that a number of our members had been infected with the Coronavirus, some had mild cases, others much more serious with lingering effects, but, that all had recovered or were recovering. Obviously and regrettably, that is no longer the case. Please keep Don's family and friends in your prayers. Jim
