The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited once again to participate in the Space Force Space Base Delta 1 POW/MIA Ride, leading up to the closing ceremony for POW/MIA week at Schriever and Peterson Space Force Bases. This is the 2nd year this event has taken place and the 2nd year the PGR have been invited to participate.
POW/MIA Recognition Week is 12 September - 16 September 2022. It culminates with the annual POW/MIA Day, 16 September, which always falls on the third Friday of September and is marked by Presidential proclamation.
The ride will conclude on Peterson SFB. All riders who do NOT have a DOD ID or Peterson base pass will be required to submit the following information by 6:00PM Wednesday, Sept 7th, so it can be provided to the event coordinator on Sept. 8th:

As a portion of this ride will be on base, the following ride equipment is required:
- DOT approved helmet
- Eye protection (if not using full helmet or helmet with no face shield)
- Full-fingered gloves
- Long sleeves
- Long pants
- Over-the-ankle sturdy footwear
16 Sept:
1300: Rally at Walmart in Falcon (ride brief)
1330: Kick Stands up
1420: Arrive at Pete visitor center for ID check and entry
1430: Ride onto base and stop at Capt David Lyon Park to meet runners (24-hour run)
1445: Follow runners to Vosler NCOA for closing ceremonies
1515: Closing ceremonies commence
Members who would like to attend the ceremony but not ride may proceed directly to the Vosler NCOA Academy, 1142, Vincent St, Peterson Space Force Base, CO 80914. You should arrive NLT 1500Hrs. Base access will also be required.
