One Mission ~ One Team ~ One Tribute 3rd ANNUAL COLORADO “RUN FOR THE FALLEN” TO HONOR AND REMEMBER COLORADO MILITARY SERVICE MEMBERS WHO DIED AS A RESULT OF SERVING DURING THE WAR ON TERROR.
Tribute to Colorado’s Military Fallen Heroes and Their Families. Relay Team to cover one mile for each Fallen Service Member in this Tribute Run from Fort Carson to Fort Logan National Cemetery.
The Run Team will stop at each “Hero Marker” HM (each mile marker) to give individual tribute to waiting Gold Star family members, friends and comrades. The goal of the event is to create a 120-mile memorial trail through Colorado to honor and read the names of over 380 Fallen Heroes.
• THREE-DAY event Friday, September 10th thru Sunday, September 12th **20th Anniversary of 9/11**
Day 1 – Friday, September 10th - Mountain Post Fallen Soldier's Memorial, Fort Carson
7:00AM Start
Day 2 – Saturday, September 11th - US Air Force Academy
7:00AM Start
Day 3 – Sunday, September 12th - Fire Station 152 - Crystal Valley Ranch Pkwy.
8:00AM Start
END 2:30PM – Fort Logan National Cemetery
If any members are interested in placing the "Hero Markers", there will be approximately 40 placed each day, in advance of the participating runners/walkers. Obviously, the placement will not be done on foot, but, using your vehicles. If you wish to assist, please post and I will put you in touch with the Colorado Organizer so that you can get the details.

It is my understanding that Day 1 is covered.
Please advise if you are available for Day 2, The Air Force Academy to Fire Station #152, 485 Crystal Valley Parkway, Castle Rock, 80104 or Day 3, Fire Station #152 to Fort Logan National Cemetery. Each will require the placement of 35 to 40 Hero Markers, at one mile increments.
If you would like to participate, please let me know by September 1, 2021.
