The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to stand in honor at the Interment Service for William (Bill) Berg at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 South Sheridan Blvd., Denver, 80236, on Monday, April 5, 2021 at 11:00AM, Committal Shelter A.
Mr. Berg was born on July 8, 1931 and died on February 13, 2021 at the age of 89. He served in the United States Marine Corps with the 1st Marine Division in Korea. He was a lifetime member of the 1st Marine Division Association and Able Company, 1st Marines, Korea and was a survivor of the Battle of Chosin Reservoir. This 17 day battle took place in late November through mid December, 1950. There were 10,500 allied battle casualties and an additional 7,300 casualties due to the extremely cold weather conditions.
The Honor Bell will toll for this Hero and this Service will commemorate the 3,000th tolling of the Honor Bell.

At Fort Logan, during Staging until departure for the Committal Shelter, please have a facial covering around your neck so that it may be put in place if the six foot spacing buffer is encroached. During the Interment Service at the Committal Shelter, while standing in the Flag Line, a facial covering must be in place (over nose and mouth) and six foot spacing should be maintained.
