SHORT NOTICE - REQUEST FOR INFORMATION - Need by 9-Oct.
If any of our members are willing and able to go to the gate with flags to stand a line at the boarding area, please send your FULL LEGAL NAME, and DOB to Marie Glitz, who will be the RC for this mission. email@example.com
Up to 10 members will be allowed to go through TSA.
The Colorado Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to stand a Flag Line for the Honor Flight of Southern Colorado, as a group of WWII, Korean, and Vietnam veterans are traveling to Washington DC to visit their war memorials.
The Honor Flight Network is a national network of independent Hubs working together to honor our nation’s veterans with an all-expenses paid trip to the memorials in Washington, D.C., a trip many of our veterans may not otherwise be able to take. Participation in an Honor Flight trip gives veterans the chance to share this momentous trip with other veterans, to remember friends and comrades lost, and share their stories and experiences with each other.
Unlike previous trips, this trip is flying out of the Colorado Springs Airport instead of DIA. We will meet and hold a Flag Line to honor these veterans as they arrive at the airport and as they proceed to TSA security. We will not be going to the gate area.
6:15AM Stage, Colorado Springs Airport - Parking and additional information will be updated soon
6:40AM Prepare to set Flag Line for arrival of Veterans.
Marie 'Autobaun' Glitz will serve as Ride Captain and bring Flags
All SoCo RC's with flags who can bring them or get them to Marie before the event, please do so.
Parking Update: Those standing with the PGR for this are authorized to park at the west end of the Valet lane on the Departure level of the airport. When arriving at the airport, proceed to the departure (top) level, in the left Departure level lane. As soon as you go around the curve to the front of the airport, you will go left into the Valet Parking lane. Proceed to the west end of this lane, past the Valet/Shuttle area to park.
