National Cemeteries will resume performing Interment Services, with Military Honors, beginning Tuesday, June 9, 2020. The following requirements were sent to us, this morning, by a Fort Logan Assistant Director. I have since signed a document confirming that each of our participating members will adhere to all of these directives, once we are again invited to attend these Services.
. Your funeral honors organization and its members will adhere to the following health and safety guidelines issued by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, to include: · Maintaining physical distancing of six feet when interacting with individuals at the cemetery, including members of your organization. · Wearing a cloth face covering when performing honors and while indoors at the cemetery. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth. · Washing hands frequently with warm water and soap for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom, before and after eating, and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing. · Using an alcohol-based hand sanitizer (at least 60% alcohol) if soap and water are not available. · Practicing good respiratory hygiene by covering a cough or sneeze with a tissue and then throwing it away or coughing or sneezing into your elbow. · Cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched objects and surfaces using a household cleaning spray or wipe, particularly in common spaces and where equipment is shared by funeral honors members. · Avoiding close contact with individuals who are sick. · Staying home when not feeling well.
