An honor to be there. Thanks Randy for making that happen.
I want to start off by saying I realize that no one mission is any important than any other, we give the same respect to all of our fallen. That said officer Talley's was the hardest service the Colorado Fallen Heroes Foundation has had so far, being that it had two full services, but things couldn't have gone any better in this type of a situation nor more respectful for Eric and family. Since detectiveHolland's funeral it's getting easier for me to schedule in the PGR through family liaison, traffic and security, but it's still a handful of work not so much for me but for the three groups that I had mentioned. So when we get a turnout like this one it not only shows our support to family and friends but it shows the internal group that you guys want to be there as much as I'm expressing to them that we want to be there. I can't tell you enough how much I appreciate that and how proud I am of our PGR. I also have to mention that I was able to spend some time with Eric's wife talking about when she drove by in the limo waving and thanking each our you and how the family was so taken back by your presence. If any of you were wondering you did a procession line for over 550 law enforcement and fire department vehicles. Thank you again!
Sincere thanks to the 25 members who participated in a number of ways in order to honor Boulder Police Officer, Eric Talley and to show support for his family, friends and associates. I have been a Boulder County resident for almost 34 years, so, the tragic events of March 22nd hit close to home. Two of our members have a son on the Boulder Police Force and their son was one of the first Officers to respond to the emergency at the King Soopers, in Boulder. Another member has a son on the Denver Police Force. The support shown by our group meant so much to so many. I continue to be honored to be associated with such a fine group of caring and supportive individuals.
My most sincere condolences to the family and friends of BPD officer Eric Talley. His sacrifice will be remembered and I would be honored to stand for him.
