The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to participate in the Mission 17 Sendoff of the Honor Flight of Southern Colorado on 28-Sept, 7:30AM at the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame, 103 Pro Rodeo Dr, Colorado Springs, CO 80919. We will be holding a Flagline while these Heros load up on 2 buses for the first leg of their trip to DIA, where they will be flying out of this trip. In addition to the Flagline, our riders who wish to will be participating in the LEO led procession from Colorado Springs to DIA. Please see notes on ride at bottom of this post.
This flight will be taking 58 Veterans along with Guardians, medical support, and others, to Washington DC to visit the war memorials. The Honor Flight Network was formed in 2005 with a mission of honoring our nation’s veterans by taking them to Washington, DC to visit the memorials and monuments dedicated to their service and sacrifice. While originally focused on honoring our nation’s World War II veterans, the Honor Flight Network now also honors those who served in the Korean War, Vietnam War, intermediary operations, and in special cases of terminal illness or injury, veterans from more recent service eras. Since its formation, the Honor Flight Network has taken more than 260,000 veterans to Washington DC. Today, the Honor Flight Network is currently comprised of 124 hubs throughout the country dedicated to carrying out the Honor Flight mission and the Network, as a whole, serves over 22,000 veterans each year.

'Damnit Jim' Balcerovich will serve as Ride Captain for the LEO led Procession.
ALL Riders must be present for the Briefing. Riders MUST EMAIL jim.balcerovich@coloradopgr.org to be put on the ride list. The number of Riders is limited to 24 MAX per CSP request on what they can support. 1st to respond are given priority. No texts, DM's etc. Email only. Thank You. This is open to PGR and VSO riders only. Riders are responsible for their own costs, including Tolls. We will be taking E-470 to DIA. Ride is Weather Permitting.
The plan is for KSU from Pro Rodeo HoF between 8:30AM and 9:00AM.
