The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to stand in honor at the Interment Service for Alexander Nicholas "Nick" Kushel at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 South Sheridan Blvd., Denver, 80236, on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at 1:15PM, Committal Shelter C. Nick was born on August 1, 1949 and died at the age of 73 on April 5, 2023 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He entered the US Army in 1968 and retired in 1991. He was also an active Colorado PGR member. 12:30PM - Stage at the Fort Logan Visitors Center 12:45PM - Mission Briefing 1:00PM - Form Flag Line at Committal Shelter C
There will be a procession for Nick from Horan and McConaty, 11150 East Dartmouth Avenue, Aurora, to Fort Logan. The procession will depart by 12:30PM. If you will participate, please arrive at the Funeral Home by Noon.
Dick Bares will serve as Ride Captain at Fort Logan. I will be honored to attend and will bring Flags.

Sincere appreciation for the US Army Career and Vietnam Service of PGR Member, Nick Kushel. The loss of someone who served and sacrificed is tragic and all Patriotic Americans are forever in their debt. Thankful for the sacrifices made by their families, as well. These Heroes gave up so much in order to preserve our freedoms and to ensure our safety and security. They have earned our recognition and respect. They will be greatly missed, but, will never be forgotten. May their family and friends achieve peace along with our enduring gratitude.
