The Colorado Patriot Guard has been invited to Form a Flag Line as the "Run For The Fallen" participants complete the "Run" on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at Fort Logan National Ceremony. The Closing Ceremony will be held shortly after their arrival.
One Mission ~ One Team ~ One Tribute ANNUAL COLORADO “RUN FOR THE FALLEN” TO HONOR AND REMEMBER COLORADO MILITARY SERVICE MEMBERS WHO DIED AS A RESULT OF SERVING DURING THE WAR ON TERROR. Tribute to Colorado’s Military Fallen Heroes and Their Families. Relay Team to cover one mile for each Fallen Service Member in this Tribute Run from Fort Carson to Fort Logan National Cemetery. The Run Team will stop at each “Hero Marker” HM (each mile marker) to give individual tribute to waiting Gold Star family members, friends and comrades. The goal of the event is to create a 120-mile memorial trail through Colorado to honor and read the names of over 380 Fallen Heroes.
1:30PM - Stage at the Fort Logan Visitors Center
2:00PM - Mission Briefing
2:15PM - Form Flag Line just inside the Cemetery Main Entrance
After the Relay Team arrives at Fort Logan National Cemetery, the Colorado PGR will relocate to Committal Shelter B in order to form a Flag Line for the Closing Ceremony for this three day event.
Dick Bares will serve as Ride Captain.
