"The Vietnam Veterans are reaching that age where we are slowly losing all of them and the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 1075 of Colorado Springs wanted to remember them by dedicating this Memorial and Time Capsule. This Memorial and Time Capsule will give their grandchildren a chance to visit the site to remember their veterans that have passed. The location of placing the Memorial in the Fort Carson Kit Carson Memorial was approved by the US Army and seems to be the perfect spot."
"HONORING ALL VIETNAM VETERANs
1955 TO 1975
VVA CHAPTER 1075
OBLGATION TO THE HEROES WHO DIDN’T COME HOME
TO HONOR THE VETERANS WHO DID
During the Vietnam Conflict there were 58,220 veterans that died in Vietnam. The foundation will consist of 58 red stained bricks symbolizing the blood that was shed to represent the 58,000 that died and a sliver of another brick for the additional 220 veteran deaths that occurred. It is with great Honor that The Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 1075 can dedicate this Memorial for all Veterans."
I am planning on attending. Thank you for honoring Vietnam Veterans.
I will be honored to stand with our American Flag at this dedication ceremony.
Thank You for this memorial, VVA. Welcome home to all my brother Vietnam Vets that made it home. Sincere honor and respect to those that did not.
Thanking ALL my Brothers and Sisters from the Viet Nam War.....Welcome Home & Thank You.
