The Colorado Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to escort the Honor Flight of Southern Colorado participants bus from the Colorado Springs Airport to the Welcome Home ceremony at Sierra High School, 2250 Jet Wing Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80916.
Upon arrival at the High School, the PGR will participate in the Welcome Home ceremony, holding Flags and pinning all the veterans who traveled.
The Flight is scheduled to arrive in Colorado Springs on Saturday, 15 October, 5:40PM. Travelers from there will load on a Grayline buss to be escorted to the ceremony location.
The Honor Flight Network is a national network of independent Hubs working together to honor our nation’s veterans with an all-expenses paid trip to the memorials in Washington, D.C., a trip many of our veterans may not otherwise be able to take. Participation in an Honor Flight trip gives veterans the chance to share this momentous trip with other veterans, to remember friends and comrades lost, and share their stories and experiences with each other.
