OFFICIAL DEDICATION - LINCOLN VETERANS MEMORIAL PARK Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 10:00AM Lincoln and Colfax across from the State Capitol
The formerly named Lincoln Park, located at Lincoln Street and Colfax Avenue, between Civic Center Park and the Colorado State Capitol, has been officially renamed as Lincoln Veterans Memorial Park. This historic place of remembrance and honor is home of the Colorado Veterans Monument, the Fallen Heroes Memorial, the Medal of Honor recipient Joseph P. Martinez statue and a replica of the Liberty Bell. In the coming months, Lincoln Veterans Memorial Park will also be the home of a statue honoring WWII Major General, Maurice Rose. Please join us at 10:00AM on Saturday, November 12, 2022 as this very special Park is officially dedicated and as we recognize and honor all Veterans, both in Colorado and throughout the United States. Support from The Greenway Foundation and the Colorado Parks Foundation has provided the funding for the creation of a new plaque recognizing the renaming of the Park as well as two additional plaques recognizing the Colorado Veterans Monument, founded by Vietnam War Veteran, SGT Tim Drago, US Army.
