Thank you, everyone, for the kind words and especially those that will stand with me for Tom. I only knew him for a few years but he was the only person I ever employed that I hugged with any regularity. He staffed our front gate where people had to stop and sign a waiver (it's a car/motorcycle race track) so he greeted everyone who arrived. After his passing more and more people asked where he was and were genuinely sad to hear that he was gone. He was just one of those guys that it was impossible not to like.
We had this bench placed outside the gatehouse where he worked. Godspeed, Tom.
My sincere condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Stoumbaugh. I will be honored to stand for this veteran.
