This is a SHORT NOTICE request by the Flags for Fallen Vets Organization for volunteers who will be able to help restore damaged American Flags that, once restored, will be placed at Fort Logan National Cemetery for Memorial Day. In most cases, the Flags need to be stapled to the poles. If you are able to participate, please stop by Public Storage, 5500 West Hampden Avenue ( just West of Fort Logan) and pick up one or more storage totes between 11:00AM and 2:00PM on Sunday, April 3rd. It will take one to two hours to repair the Flags in each tote. The totes will be kept by the volunteers until May 1, 2022 when they will be returned to the Public Storage facility between the hours of 11:00AM and 2:00PM. There will be a second restoration event on Sunday, April 24, 2022. The Flags that will be picked up tomorrow can be returned on April 24th. The April 24th activity will take place at the YMCA, 5181 South Kenyon Avenue (just North of Fort Logan).
